The job itself 
You will be part of the Affiliate marketing team, based in Amazon’s UK headquarters. The team plays a key role in Amazon’s commercial results, by working with publishers/brands/media owners (associates) whose content (website reviews, articles, blogs etc) contain product reviews and links, which drive traffic to Amazon’s site.

The Affiliate marketing team manage and develop these media owner relationships. They analyse data and trends to spot opportunities that will drive greater traffic to the Amazon site, which builds revenue for Amazon and its Associates.

Please note – this job is not about creating content. It’s about account management, business development and analysis of data/results/trends to help publishers who do create content, create new/more/better content.

In more detail 
You will be involved in the following sorts of activities, on a day-to-day basis:

  • Inspect Weekly and Monthly trends via internal dashboards, presenting them back to the team.

  • Identify leads for the business development team either from existing unmanaged accounts or outside of the current creator channel.

  • Act as an entrepreneur, thinking creatively about how to grow the creator channel and meet our goals.

  • Be a self-starter, launching and leading new projects.

  • Act as point of contact for UK/DE Associates, using problem solving skills to fix any problems faced by our partners.

  • Create Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews to share with our top tier Associates. Working with our Bratislava (BTS) team, the apprentice will continually improve on the process.

  • We use dashboards to inspect the performance of second tier creators. The Apprentice will work with the BTS and UK team to identify and communicate actions we think Associates should take to improve and grow their business with Amazon.

  • Join BD leads on both virtual and in-person meetings with top tier creator accounts.

  • In time, manage 3 Associate accounts and grow their revenue (fully supported by teammates).

  • It is expected that the apprentice will upskill their knowledge of the affiliate industry upon joining the team.

  • Attend industry conferences, with BD leads (at Amazon’s expense).

  • The Apprentice will be expected to travel within in the UK, primarily London and occasionally Europe (at Amazon’s expense).

Key qualifications

  • Proficient with Excel and formulas etc

  • Confident and comfortable with data and all things data analytics

  • Confident in writing reports and presentations and delivering them

  • Comfortable in MS Office applications (ppt, word, excel, e-mail) 

  • Fluent in English and able to communicate well 

  • Fluency in French, Spanish or Italian would be an advantage, but not essential

  • A-Levels or equivalent completed (you do not need to be a graduate)

  • You must be eligible to work in the UK

  • You must hold a valid passport

Preferred qualifications 

  • College or part time work-experience analysing data/information and presenting findings

  • 1 – 2 years of work experience in any field (part time/holiday work is fine). 
    Please note, this role is NOT open to people who have already started a career in marketing e.g. 1 year+ of full-time experience

A few important details 
This role is for 12-months.
The salary is up to £27,352 for a 40-hour working week.
The hours are 9 to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday.  
You will be required to work in the office, at minimum of  3 days a week (5 days preferable).
