Help to change lives and our industry.

Some of the biggest brands in the UK choose to work with us to find talent that can be difficult to track down. Their motive is to add diversity to their marketing teams and to enrich our industry in the longer term.

There is a way to find bright, hardworking, entrepreneurial young people to fill your entry-level marketing roles. You’ll also be righting a wrong in the marketing industry.

The industry has grossly underperformed when it comes to social mobility. Young people from low-income families, regardless of their talent or hard work, do not have anything like the same access to career starts in marketing. It’s not fair and businesses are missing out.

The
Marketing Academy Foundation weighs in on this challenge and connects bright young individuals from disadvantaged beginnings with businesses who want a talent refresh.

Our apprenticeships and who we’ve worked with

  • We secure paid, year-long marketing apprenticeships (or equivalent) at high-calibre companies (hosts) for talented young people who just  need a ‘leg up’ to get going.

  • Modelled on government definition: 80% work, 20% training.

  • Can be independent of or integrated with the host company’s statutory apprenticeship programme.

  • We can employ directly and supply the apprentices as secondees (60% of our hosts do this to avoid headcount issues).

Wages and employment costs (£)

We recommend the living wage foundation’s rate for a single person. So the salary varies depending on location (London vs the rest of the country) and the hours worked. A London-based apprentice in 2023 would be paid £23,933 for a 35 hour week and £21,840 ROC.
